Armidale Pipe Band practices each Monday night from 6:30PM-9:00PM at Armidale High School, Butler Street Armidale.

Instruction in highland piping and drummming is provided by experienced tutors and the band happily welcomes new members willing to make the time and commitment to learning and performing with us.


Welcome to the online home of Armidale pipe band! The band plays a range of traditional Scottish and Irish music and performs regularly in and around Armidale and the surrounding district. With a history spanning more than a hundred years Armidale Pipe Band brings to life the colour and spectacle of traditional pipes and drums.

As a community organisation our story is interwoven through the history of our local community. We have a tradition of community service, of community inclusion and of support for our members. We are looking for young people to join us!

If you're a young person looking forsomething fun and worthwhile being a part of then Armidale Pipe Band may just be what you're looking for. We offer free tuition in bagpipes, bass and tenor drumming and snare drumming. You'll get the opportunity to travel and perform with the band. You will meet new people and maybe even develop lifelong freindships. Armidale Pipe Band wants you to be part of our future. Pipe bands attract a lot of young people from all over the world, they are a great social activity as well as a fantastic way learn life long skills and give back to your community.
